Bladder

  • incontinence > seek advice
Coital Activity
  • resumed – acceptable
  • unacceptable > seek advice
Breasts
  • feeding – well established
  • nipple problems / mastitis
Baby
  • maternal concerns re problems of feeding, behaviour, growth, development (see Blue Book)
Feedback re delivery and postpartum care  
Wound
  • pain, discharge, bleeding from wound > seek advice

  • mood / affect
Abdomen
  • palpate
  • check caesarean wound
Perineum
  • tears / episiotomy healed
  • not healed or result unacceptable ? seek advice
Pap
  • as required
PV
  • uterus involuted
  • uterus enlarged > seek advice
  • pelvic floor muscle tone – encourage pelvic floor exercise
Baby
  • 6 week examination – entry in Blue Book
